Frequently Asked Questions

How do you select projects?

Our projects are determined based on industry needs, previous data collected, student feedback, faculty input, and innovative ideas from other organizations and institutions

What does the project status’ mean?

Each project page will have a project status. Here is a better description of them:

Idea – This research is being considered and may or may not occur. This status is also used when designing the study

Data Gathering – We have approved the study and we are gathering data. This can take anywhere from 6 months to 3 years or longer depending on the study

Analyzing Data – We have completed the data gathering and are currently evaluating to ensure that we have the proper data. If we do, we will begin to produce reports on the data

Preparing Report – We are preparing the official study report with all the required elements

Published – The study has been published on the website for public access

Do you have an IRB?

We are in the process of developing an IRB within the next few years. All of our research is internal and falls under IRB exemption as it poses minimal risk to participants and is used to evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs. All participants do have the ability to not be a part of any studies and we do obtain consent from all participants
